On January 9, 1997 Comair Commuter plane Flight 3272 was trying to fly into Detroit Metro Airport. It was near blizzard conditions and below 0. The conditions were too much for the plane carrying 29 people and crashed into a field near the small town of Ida Michigan, instantly killing all on board.
